Can you give it all away?Posted by Doug Edwards in Untagged |

After just returning from the Beaumont Mission Trip I started to think about how hard everyone worked. Most of us are not used to that much hard physical labor (it's nothing like sitting behind a desk or phone all day), but everyone found the strength to persevere each day. I know in our group they did not want to come down off of the roof until the job was done each day. I started to wonder where the extra strength comes from. I came to the conclusion that God prepared each on us for the trip and gave us just enough energy to complete each day's task. Even when we thought we were "done", somehow he provided the extra fuel to finish. When I think about how grateful each family was, I was touched by the fact that even though each of us had given all we had, God renewed our strength so that he could be glorified in our actions. That is alot like love. Some people are afraid to give all of their love, thinking that they need to save some or spread it out among several people. I believe God wants us to love everyone we meet with all the love we possess. When we feel like there is none left to give God refills our tanks and allows others to witness his unending love through our actions. So don't be afraid to give it all away. There is an undending supply that God will refill you with over and over and over again. I dare you, just try to give it all away!

| Dougie!-- wow that was EXACTLY what I needed to read! I have been struggling with a couple people and loving them for every little flaw and everything. I have been struggling with just giving all of my LOVE and knowing that God can strengthen me. Thanks Doug! That was a MAJOR God MOMENT!I can really tell that God was working through you saying that and me actually logging on and reading through it rather than just sitting at home and not looking on the website, or just me ignoring it... So thanks for that!! love you! Claire ![]() |
