Harlans message really says it all. I have been with Stanley my WHOLE LIFE so I have no other church to compare stanley too. And i don't think it is fair to compare one church to another. They all teach the word of God and all help to get us to the same place...Heaven. So maybe those who catch themselves saying at MY OTHER CHURCH THERE IS... should realize that every church is different but in the end each church helps us get where we need to be and where God wants us to be...IN HEAVEN! that's just a thought for the day..think on it, teach from it, LOVE IT! -Clarice

I've been thinking alot about compassion for the last several months.  As I tried to organize my thoughts around the topic, I came up with the 4 week study on compassion for Wednesday nights.  It has helped me better understand what the bible teaches about compassion.  It seems that more thought I put into the topic, the more I began to realize what a great plan God has for all of us.  He provides everything we need to love and be loved.  He gave us the ultimate gift of love, grace, forgiveness, and compassion with his Son!  And all he asks from us in return

This expression has been an ongoing humourous statement over the last 3 years.  It seems over the last few years that there is always someone who starts their sentence with "At my other Church", and then goes on to share what their church is doing.  This always takes place in my Church.  It used to make me sad and feel as though we (Stanley) were a second team Church.  But of recent I find humor in the "At my other Church" and I no longer spin to a path of depression.  In fact I try to filter into my own conversations..."At my other Church...

soooo... i know i've kinda lost my way recently because of well... soccer. :) i know i've accomplished a lot on my soccer team but now i think i have just lost it with God. we were "tight" earlier this year but it seems that i follow the same pattern... as einstin said, "insanity is defined by people who follow the same routine and hope for a different outcome." and he's right. so i'll try not to be a stranger anymore!         <3    sontag
